The scraper is installed with an O-Ring as elastic energizing element in one groove. The scraper function is performed by the Excluder®5 PTFE element. The O-Ring maintains the pressure of the scraper lips against the sliding surface and can compensate deflections of the piston rod. Available in Turcon® or Zurcon® materials.

Commercial Description:

Turcon® T46 is used as a primary sealing material along with an FKM (V7) elastomer. Turcon® T46 is a blend of PTFE, bronze, and a proprietary Turcon® filler and is backed by years of time-tested performance and offers a balance of performance and cost. This material has a high extrusion resistance and has very good wear properties. An FKM elastomer is used, made of a heat-resistant material, allowing for use at high temperatures.
