Trellborg Type TRA Radial Oil Seals are seals with a completely rubber covered outer diameter and a single sealing lip. This type is not recommended for use in heavily polluted environments. Radial Oil Seals are also known as Rotary Shaft Seals, consisting of a rubber sealing lip, metal case and a spiraled tensioning spring Their function is to keep oil and grease within the system dirt and dust out.

Commercial Description:
A 70 durometer NBR bonded to a steel case. Comes with a steel spring. The properties of the nitrile rubber depend mainly on the ACN content which ranges between 18 % and 50 %. In general it has good mechanical properties with an operating temperaturs range of between -30 °C and +100 °C. NBR is mostly used with mineral based oils and greases and is a good choice for standard applications.
